
Clinical Account Executive – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic business relationships with oncology departments and practices.
• Engage with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, nurses, executives, department heads, managers, and support staff.
• Enhance awareness of product benefits and risks in line with approved labeling.
• Generate new business opportunities and optimize resource utilization.
• Increase sales and market share by meeting the designated oncology product sales targets.
• Comprehend and respond to customer needs while gathering market intelligence.
• Establish account relationships that are advantageous for patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with in-house and cross-franchise leaders to create and modify compliant programs and initiatives.
• Provide on-label technical and scientific presentations utilizing approved data.
• Act as the primary US Commercial contact for targeted accounts within the assigned region.
• Work alongside Brand and Strategic Marketing, GPO, Thought Leader Liaisons, MSLs, and contracted SPPs.
• Offer site support and resolve customer issues.
• Develop, implement, communicate, and update strategic and tactical business plans.
• Facilitate training for physicians and treatment teams on the approved and safe use of products.
• Track and report sales progress.
• Ensure timely customer support and follow up on requests.
• Attend and engage in clinician boards, societies, and healthcare professional meetings.
• Represent AbbVie and assigned products at pertinent venues.
• Monitor developments in clinical, market, payer, oncology, and disease areas.
• Complete necessary training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
• Identify and communicate business and customer implications to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of approved product labels and disease states.
• Utilize data, resources, and tools to pinpoint sales opportunities and formulate customer program strategies.
• Participate in relevant organizational programs with Legal/OEC approval.
• Employ selling resources and tools to maximize sales effectiveness.
• Candidates must reside within the assigned territory, which includes Lancaster, Harrisburg, Reading, or Wilmington.
• Possess business acumen and analytical capabilities to evaluate diverse data sets using various tools.
• Ability to fulfill customer requirements in a complex environment through innovative approaches.
• Proven leadership skills and capacity to lead without direct authority.
• Experience in developing teams to tackle complex projects or challenges.
• Outstanding communication and presentation capabilities.
• Tenacity and resilience with a strong history of achieving success in challenging environments.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Must meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
• Preferred qualifications include oncology sales experience or oncology-specific clinical experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Account management experience in any field is preferred.
• Specialty Pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Experience within the healthcare industry is preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
