This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with oncology departments and practices.
• Enhance awareness of product advantages and potential risks in alignment with approved labeling.
• Generate new business, optimize resource utilization, and increase sales and market share by fulfilling the sales objectives.
• Comprehend and address customer requirements while fostering relationships that yield market insights.
• Create compliant and innovative programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and cross-franchise leaders to identify, design, or modify strategies and tactics.
• Deliver impactful on-label technical and scientific presentations utilizing approved data.
• Act as the primary US Commercial liaison with targeted accounts within the designated territory.
• Work alongside AbbVie and co-promotion partners to offer support to physicians and patients.
• Develop, implement, communicate, and revise strategic and tactical business plans for targeted accounts.
• Facilitate training for physicians and treatment teams regarding approved and safe product usage.
• Track and report sales progress while providing regular updates to internal and external partners.
• Serve as AbbVie’s main point of contact for each account, ensuring timely customer support coordination.
• Attend and engage in clinician boards, societies, and other healthcare-provider meetings.
• Represent AbbVie and assigned products at professional events and build relationships.
• Monitor clinical, market, and payer trends in oncology and related disease areas.
• Complete mandatory training and adhere to company policies as well as OEC/Legal procedures.
• Gather and convey information that impacts AbbVie and customer businesses.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of approved product labels and disease-state knowledge.
• Optimize data, resources, and tools to uncover sales opportunities and program strategies.
• Participate in relevant organizational initiatives with Legal/OEC approval.
• Utilize available selling resources and tools to bolster selling strategies and maximize impact.
• Cover the Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Birmingham, Jamestown, and Ithaca territory, with a preference for Rochester or Buffalo.
• Business acumen and analytical skills to assess diverse data sets using various tools and define account/program strategies.
• Capability to fulfill customer needs in a complex setting through innovative strategies that align with company and customer goals.
• Proven leadership abilities and capacity to lead without direct authority.
• Experience in developing teams to address complex projects or challenges and achieve outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Tenacity and resilience with a strong history of success in demanding environments.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material handling equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Oncology sales experience or oncology-specific clinical experience is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Account management experience in any industry is preferred.
• Specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with patient interaction or consulting for healthcare companies, is preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Ability to comply with healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may involve background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
