This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic business relationships with oncology departments and practices.
• Engage with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, nurses, executives, department heads, managers, and support personnel.
• Enhance awareness of product benefits and risks in line with approved labeling.
• Generate new business opportunities, optimize resource utilization, and increase sales and market share by meeting the sales plan.
• Comprehend and address customer requirements while collecting market intelligence.
• Develop account relationships that serve the interests of patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with internal and cross-franchise leaders to identify, design, or modify strategies and tactics.
• Present effective on-label technical and scientific information using approved data.
• Act as the primary US Commercial contact for targeted accounts within the designated area.
• Work together with AbbVie and co-promotion partners, including Brand and Strategic Marketing, GPO, Thought Leader Liaisons, MSLs, and contracted SPPs.
• Provide support at sites and resolve customer concerns.
• Develop, implement, communicate, and refresh strategic and tactical business plans for targeted accounts.
• Facilitate training for site physicians and treatment teams on the approved and safe use of products.
• Track and report on sales progress.
• Maintain regular communications with internal and external partners.
• Serve as AbbVie’s primary contact for each account.
• Address or redirect customer inquiries and requests to the appropriate services or contacts, ensuring follow-up.
• Coordinate prompt support delivery to accounts.
• Attend and engage in local clinician boards, societies, and meetings for healthcare professionals.
• Represent AbbVie and allocated products at pertinent venues while fostering or enhancing relationships.
• Relay key information and insights to internal stakeholders.
• Stay updated on clinical, market, payer, oncology, and disease-area advancements.
• Complete necessary training and comply with company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
• Gather critical information and communicate its implications for AbbVie and customer businesses.
• Share knowledge with internal partners and integrate best practices across assigned indications and brands.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of approved product labeling and disease-state knowledge.
• Optimize data, resources, and tools to identify sales opportunities and formulate program strategies.
• Engage in relevant local-market organizational initiatives with Legal/OEC approval.
• Develop expertise in selling resources and tools to support selling strategies and maximize impact.
• Business acumen and analytical skills to evaluate diverse data sets using various tools and define account/program strategies.
• Capability to meet customer needs in a complex environment through innovative and forward-thinking strategies aligned with company and customer objectives.
• Proven leadership abilities and capacity to lead without direct authority.
• Experience in successfully guiding teams through complex projects or challenges to achieve desired outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Tenacity and resilience with a solid history of success in challenging environments.
• Operation of a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and comply with safe driving requirements.
• Meet healthcare industry representative credentialing criteria, which may involve background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
• Preferred experience in oncology sales or oncology-specific clinical roles.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior account management experience in any industry preferred.
• Specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
