
Clinical Account Executive, Multiple Myeloma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the strategic leader for AbbVie’s Multiple Myeloma business within the designated territory.
• Create and implement a thorough territory business plan that aligns with brand strategy and addresses local customer requirements.
• Establish trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
• Provide compliant, customer-centric interactions utilizing extensive scientific and clinical knowledge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to ensure cohesive customer experiences.
• Assess territory performance by leveraging data, customer insights, and business analytics to enhance execution.
• Uphold integrity, compliance, and professionalism in all customer engagements.
• Complete mandatory AbbVie training and comply with company policies and OEC/Legal regulations.
• Pursue ongoing development of clinical, business, and leadership skills.
• Travel regularly by air or car, approximately 25% of the time.
• Report directly to the Senior District Manager.
• A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Required oncology/hematology experience; experience with Multiple Myeloma is preferred.
• Strong competitive selling abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a highly collaborative team setting.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Resilience and determination with a proven history of success in challenging environments.
• Access to personal auto, company car, or truck for transportation.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel for business by air or car regularly.
• Capability to meet healthcare industry representative credentialing standards, which may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in account management is preferred.
• Specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Background in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Experience in people management or other leadership roles is preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
