This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Lead the strategic growth and partnership initiatives with prominent U.S. cancer centers, clinics, and large oncology practices.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with influential opinion leaders and academic medical institutions.
β’ Create and execute strategic plans aimed at acquiring and retaining clients.
β’ Optimize client-bill contracting opportunities.
β’ Execute laboratory services agreements with billing-account institutions.
β’ Collaborate with sales leaders and representatives to meet company objectives.
β’ Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between potential oncology clients and Tempus.
β’ Encourage the utilization and adherence to web-based molecular information tools.
β’ Evaluate competitive landscapes and account environments, providing valuable customer insights.
β’ Track sales performance against established objectives.
β’ Develop and implement a thorough territory business plan that encompasses budgets, travel, territory management, and goals.
β’ Work collaboratively across various departments.
β’ Represent the Tempus culture to both internal and external stakeholders.
β’ A Bachelorβs degree in life sciences, biology, business, or marketing is required; an MBA is preferred.
β’ 2β3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic environment with a proven track record.
β’ 3β5 years of experience working with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology GPOs, large health systems, IHDNs, and substantial oncology practices.
β’ Demonstrated ability to generate measurable revenue in a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology company.
β’ Capability to deliver an integrated MolDx/SaaS solution utilizing sequencing technology.
β’ Proficiency in consultative selling and managing objections.
β’ Comfort in selling at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO).
β’ Understanding of payer and reimbursement landscapes in oncology and diagnostics.
β’ Strong knowledge of molecular diagnostics related to oncology and the competitive market.
β’ Familiarity with oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, and targeted therapies.
β’ Exceptional negotiation, customer service, presentation, communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
β’ Regular and effective use of Salesforce.com.
β’ Capacity to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
β’ Strong administrative skills and business acumen.
β’ Willingness to travel frequently (>50%) throughout the territory.
β’ Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
β’ Incentive compensation may be provided.
