Clinic Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Manage all clinic operations, which include client access, clinical care, safety and risk management processes, staffing and employee morale, training, quality assurance, evaluation, facility management, communication, events, TRICARE and commercial billing, as well as financial oversight.

• Lead a multidisciplinary outpatient mental health clinic team dedicated to serving adults, couples, families, and children.

• Supervise staff performance, program development, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

• Convert organizational objectives into practical strategies at the clinic level.

• Ensure compliance with CARF accreditation, regulatory standards, privacy, and security protocols.

• Act as the liaison between clinic personnel and CVN leadership.

• Guarantee adherence to evidence-based practice guidelines within the targeted treatment model.

• Oversee clinical supervision for licensed personnel.

• Track documentation, timeliness, utilization, diagnosis, treatment, screening, disposition, safety, and clinical training/licensure renewals.

• Monitor key performance indicators related to utilization, documentation completion, and wait times.

• Administer the clinic's budget, productivity objectives, and financial/billing performance.

• Co-facilitate weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

• Maintain appropriate staffing levels while managing retention, recruitment, onboarding, role-specific training, and feedback processes.

• Represent the clinic in interactions with AAFES, installation command, community stakeholders, and referral partners.

• Ensure preparedness for licensing, accreditation, and payer reviews.

• Uphold confidentiality, privacy, and risk management policies.

• Provide clinical care as necessary.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s Degree or higher in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, or Mental Health Counseling, OR a Ph.D. or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

• Specialized training and expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• An active, unrestricted clinical license and eligibility to comply with TRICARE billing standards.

• Ability to obtain and maintain SOFA status for international assignments.

• At least 5 years of experience in leading, managing, and supervising within a clinical environment.

• Experience in treating and diagnosing PTSD and co-occurring conditions such as Substance Use Disorder, depression, and anxiety using evidence-based approaches.

• Experience providing clinical supervision in these areas.

• Familiarity with DSM-V-TR diagnoses.

• Experience with electronic health record systems.

• Required HIPAA training and compliance.

• Preferred experience across evidence-based modalities for adults, children, couples, and families.

• Preferred 10–15 years of clinical experience.

• Experience with Cerner is advantageous.

• Some travel may be necessary.
