This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of commercial relationships from the initial conversation through to signed partnerships, adoption, and renewal.

• Manage a designated portfolio of target colleges and providers to achieve annual new business and first-year growth objectives.

• Proactively source opportunities through inspection reports, monitoring visits, achievement-rate publications, leadership transitions, funding announcements, sector events, referrals, partner networks, and relevant content.

• Strategically plan account management aligned with institutional budgets, self-assessment periods, and enrollment schedules.

• Cultivate relationships within institutions to understand learners, their challenges, and constraints prior to proposing solutions.

• Accurately forecast against quarterly and annual goals while maintaining appropriate pipeline coverage.

• Conduct discovery sessions to identify operational issues, costs, and key stakeholders.

• Convert findings into persuasive business cases that quantify impacts on achievement, compliance, funding, and workload.

• Collaborate with Customer Success to design partnership scope, rollout plans, and success metrics.

• Qualify and manage opportunities utilizing BANT and MEDDPICC frameworks, ensuring CRM records are up-to-date.

• Coordinate efforts across quality, curriculum, support, finance, and executive purchasing groups.

• Navigate procurement, tender, and framework processes while negotiating multi-year agreements.

• Maintain commercial ownership post-signature and collaborate with Customer Success on adoption and outcomes.

• Identify and implement account growth strategies, including transitioning from apprenticeship services to full-college delivery.

• Provide market insights to Product and Marketing teams, contributing to sector content, events, and thought leadership initiatives.

• Share intelligence across Sales and Customer Success teams to enhance go-to-market processes, enablement, systems, and reporting.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing commercial relationships from start to finish in a multi-stakeholder sales environment, with a track record of securing new business and growing accounts over time.

• Knowledge of the further education, apprenticeship, or skills sectors; relevant experience from a related sector will also be taken into account.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities, ranging from support practitioners to executive leadership.

• Comfortable operating in uncertain environments and adaptable to change.

• Proficient in accurate forecasting, maintaining clean CRM records, and familiar with structured sales methodologies like MEDDPICC or MEDDIC.

• Willingness to be visible in the sector through participation in events, public speaking, writing, and professional networking.

• Ability to travel across the UK to engage with customers directly.

• No specific formal qualification is required.

• A genuine interest in cognition, inclusion, and learner achievement, along with a commitment to the commercial goal of broadening access to cognitive assessments.
