This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure precise maintenance of client files and documentation within the Agency Management System.
• Draft professional business communications through letters, emails, and other channels.
• Conduct accounting and mathematical tasks, including invoicing and premium allocation.
• Oversee claims processes, relay claims information, and keep claims records up-to-date.
• Work collaboratively with Advisors, Directors of Risk Management, Client Service Specialists, agency staff, clients, and insurance providers.
• Participate in client meetings upon request.
• Support colleagues with client inquiries and processing tasks.
• Handle daily client account activities, which include policy reviews, modifications, contract evaluations, certificate processing, renewal documentation, marketing, negotiating insurance programs, surplus lines filing, lease reviews, and financial statement assessments.
• Address client inquiries via phone and email and ensure timely follow-ups for effective service.
• Advise clients on coverage and risk exposure, recommending and placing additional coverage as needed.
• Generate new business opportunities through client referrals, prospect databases, and automation systems.
• Foster relationships with insurance carrier partners and comprehend their requirements.
• Recognize opportunities for enhancing the firm, business segment, and processes; escalate concerns to leadership.
• Acquire and maintain state insurance license(s) as mandated by the State Department of Insurance, or be prepared to obtain all necessary licenses within the first 90 days of employment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager position.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Capability to learn relevant insurance company and firm software applications.
