This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee a client portfolio within the 2–99 life insurance sector.
• Enhance persistency, growth, and profitability by developing relationships with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales Support, Service, and Claims teams.
• Partner directly with Sales Representatives to uncover opportunities for additional coverage lines.
• Assist in plan renewals and identify add-issue opportunities.
• Produce plan options and quotes for new coverage lines.
• Assess the current book of business for potential add-issue opportunities.
• Manage incoming requests for renewals and negotiations.
• Cultivate relationships with brokers, producers, and plan holders for groups with fewer than 100 enrolled lives.
• Communicate details regarding renewals, alternative plan options, and quotes for add-issues.
• Analyze experience and utilization reports alongside Sales Representatives and compile suitable reports.
• Utilize Salesforce Reports and other methods to identify add-issue opportunities and prepare quotes.
• Follow up with brokers/producers regarding renewals and add-issue quotes, engaging Sales Representatives as necessary.
• Negotiate renewal rate adjustments with Underwriting and create plan alternatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Guardian systems, products, capabilities, and workflow procedures.
• Operate remotely from home with minimal travel (less than 10%).

• Ability to represent Guardian professionally.
• Must reside in Syracuse, NY or Albany, NY.
• Comprehensive understanding of group insurance products, contracts, and services.
• Solid grasp of financing methodologies and strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of group insurance underwriting principles, methodologies, and practices.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in a sales role.
• Proven track record in servicing brokers, producers, and customers.
• Must obtain necessary industry licensing within 90 days of hire and maintain it through Continuing Education requirements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
