This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Oversee a portfolio of clients within the 2–99 life insurance sector.
• Enhance persistency, growth, and profitability by fostering relationships with clients, brokers, and internal collaborators.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales Support, Service, Claims, and Sales Representatives.
• Develop connections with brokers, producers, and plan holders for groups with fewer than 100 enrolled lives.
• Analyze and convey information regarding renewals, alternative plan options, and add-issue quotes.
• Examine experience and utilization reports alongside Sales Representatives and compile relevant reports.
• Identify add-issue opportunities utilizing Salesforce reports and various strategies.
• Follow up with brokers/producers about the status of renewals and add-issue quotes.
• Negotiate renewal rate adjustments with underwriting and create alternative plan options.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Guardian systems, products, capabilities, and workflow processes.
• A college degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in a sales context, showcasing success in servicing brokers/producers/customers.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding customer service soft skills.
• High level of proficiency in mathematical concepts and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent consultative, negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills with a sales focus.
• Capability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships at all levels.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Drive to achieve persistency, renewal targets, and cross-selling goals.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, Skype, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, GCRS, Siebel, CPS, Phoenix, Business Objects, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of group insurance products, contracts, and services.
• Strong understanding of financing methodologies and strategies.
• Solid grasp of group insurance underwriting principles, methodologies, and practices.
• Must acquire the necessary industry licensing within 90 days of hire and maintain it through continuing education.
• Must reside in Michigan, Kentucky, or Ohio.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
