Claims Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and provide technical support for claims to a Claims Manager

• Supervise the work conducted by the Commercial Auto Claims adjusting team

• Utilize technology and analytics to enhance operational effectiveness, efficiency, and performance

• Balance managerial duties and individual contributor tasks according to claim volume

• Alternate between claims management, coaching, and providing feedback

• Act as backup or leader in the absence of the Manager

• Manage initial onboarding activities, access, and cultural immersion for new hires

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for first-line inquiries, escalations, and roundtable discussions

• Establish and uphold best practices for claims handling, including intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery

• Align team efforts with client and customer expectations

• Provide support for escalated claims

• Promote a positive workplace culture, teamwork, and opportunities for professional development

• Collaborate with the leadership team to attract, hire, retain, and train staff

• Prepare and deliver claims reports, metrics, and analyses to clients and customers

• Advise clients regarding claim trends and loss mitigation strategies

• Exercise enhanced reserve and payment authority and assist with moderate reviews

• Identify topics and trends for team meetings and Elevated Claims Experience Workshops

• Advocate for customer-centric practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of insurance claims experience across multiple lines of business, with a preference for auto

• At least 3 years of leadership experience, ideally in a remote management setting

• Proficiency with technology and the ability to advance claims systems and processes to achieve better efficiencies and results

• Proven dedication to quality, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail

• Strong integrity, ethics, and accountability in managing confidential and sensitive information
