This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a team of adjusters managing a diverse range of accounts and lines of business, such as general liability and commercial property.
• Consistently meet or exceed targets while navigating challenges effectively.
• Establish and uphold best practices for claims handling, which encompass claim intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery.
• Track and assess claims data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure the team's alignment with client and customer expectations throughout the claims process.
• Act as a resource for escalated claims issues.
• Guarantee the accuracy and sufficiency of all claim reserving aspects.
• Create and execute strategies aimed at reducing fraudulent claims while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Cultivate a positive work atmosphere, foster teamwork, and support professional growth and development.
• Implement performance management practices; attract, hire, retain, and provide advanced training.
• Collaborate with Account Management, Compliance, and Claim Operations on complex or escalated claims-related matters.
• Build and maintain relationships with policyholders, agents, brokers, and legal representatives.
• Prepare and deliver claims reports, metrics, and analyses to clients and customers; advise them on claim trends and loss mitigation strategies.
• Uphold high quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory, internal, and external contractual SLAs.
• Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout their employment; those living in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States are not eligible for hire.
• Possess an active insurance adjuster’s license from a designated home state or home state.
• Hold a bachelor's degree in insurance, business administration, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CPCU or AIC are advantageous.
• Have over 10 years of experience in insurance claims management across multiple lines of business, preferably in property, general liability, and/or auto with bodily injury experience.
• At least 5 years of management experience, ideally in a remote setting.
• Be comfortable with technology and capable of evolving claims systems and processes to enhance efficiencies and outcomes.
• Show a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate integrity, ethics, and accountability in managing confidential and sensitive information.
• Possess exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and relationship-management skills.
• Have a foundational understanding of claims, ideally with experience managing or handling multiple lines of business.
• Bring deep technical and subject matter expertise in commercial transportation claims, including coverage and litigation.
• Experience in reviewing and analyzing contracts is required.
