Claims Intake Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls promptly and positively while delivering outstanding customer service.

• Handle incoming calls from claimants, attorneys, vendors, brokers, Third Party Administrators, and agents concerning claims.

• Make outgoing calls to policyholders, claimants, and adjusters to gather additional information for claim submissions.

• Receive and log potential claims via phone and email.

• Conduct research on requested information and provide precise, detailed responses in accordance with established protocols.

• Document call notes and reports, updating the Claims’ Systems with comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.

• Direct calls to appropriate team members and departments as required.

• Address customer issues by escalating concerns when necessary.

• Work during the scheduled shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST.

• Basic understanding of insurance coverage, including different types of claims and claimants.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on spelling, punctuation, grammar, and facts.

• Compassionate, patient, and maintains a professional demeanor.

• Familiarity with basic computer operations, including the use of multiple screens and systems.

• Adaptable and open to changes in the work environment.

• Exceptional research and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Prior experience in customer service is required.
