This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver prompt, courteous, and top-notch service to all involved parties by starting investigations, addressing inquiries, and resolving claims.
β’ Collect essential information from all parties to begin claims and clarify policy, coverage, and the suitable course of action.
β’ Oversee a portfolio of bodily injury claims.
β’ Set initial reserves for all potential exposures and adjust reserves throughout the claim's duration.
β’ Investigate liability and assess injuries and damages.
β’ Acquire and review medical records, bills, and other relevant documentation.
β’ Manage claims involving multiple claimants in passenger losses.
β’ Communicate with all involved parties and negotiate settlements with claimants, insured individuals, and attorneys within the authorized payment limits.
β’ Supervise and direct external investigative service providers.
β’ Collaborate with the client, client counsel, and defense attorneys to resolve claims, including litigated cases.
β’ Identify recovery opportunities, such as contribution and subrogation.
β’ Recognize claims that require escalation.
β’ Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
β’ Participate in educational opportunities related to commercial passenger carrier claims, court rulings, claim guidelines, and policy modifications.
β’ Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of claim guidelines and processes.
β’ Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state for the duration of their employment.
β’ We are unable to hire candidates living in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside of the United States.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience handling commercial transportation bodily injury claims, preferably in limousine, livery, motorcoach, charter, or other passenger carrier operations.
β’ At least 7 years of overall claims handling experience across various lines of business.
β’ A bachelor's degree; however, lack of one should not deter you from applying if you meet all other qualifications.
β’ An active adjuster license: a resident-state license where applicable, or a Designated Home State (DHS) license.
β’ Ability to obtain any additional required licenses within 60 days, including passing state tests.
β’ Knowledge of state and federal regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
β’ Familiarity with passenger carrier operations and coverage considerations.
β’ Experience managing litigated files and collaborating with defense counsel.
β’ Capability to analyze and evaluate claims data and make sound decisions based on established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
β’ Proficiency in completing accurate and timely coverage analysis.
