Civil Litigation Attorney – Credit Recovery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage collection lawsuits, actions based on documented evidence, enforcement of extrajudicial instruments, judgment enforcement proceedings, and possessory actions concerning the portfolio’s contractual relationships.

• Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, replies, motions, appeals, and procedural incidents.

• Carry out enforcement proceedings and attachment measures, analyzing asset searches, SISBAJUD, RENAJUD, INFOJUD, seizures, valuations, expropriations, and other methods to locate assets and fulfill the credit claim.

• Examine contracts, documents, procedural history, and evidentiary materials, identifying risks, inconsistencies, and strategies for litigation.

• Actively monitor cases to prevent suspension or closure before all effective credit-recovery measures have been fully utilized.

• Oversee deadlines, publications, judicial and administrative actions, court costs, diligences, property records, searches, receipts, and all necessary documentation.

• Prepare and verify calculations and amounts involved in claims, particularly in collection actions, enforcement proceedings, and judgment enforcement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.

• Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).

• Extensive experience in Civil Law, Contract Law, Credit Recovery, and Civil Procedure.

• Strong legal writing abilities, producing technical and objective pleadings that are strategically focused on desired outcomes.

• Excellent organizational skills for managing a high-volume caseload, with the capacity to identify and highlight critical or strategic issues.

• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with the team and preparation of client reports.
