Civil Engineer – Licensed in California

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop civil engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for site development, transportation, water resources, utilities, and associated infrastructure projects.

• Ensure compliance with California Building Standards, local agency regulations, and relevant design standards.

• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations.

• Collaborate with clients, architects, fellow engineers, and regulatory bodies.

• Review and stamp/seal engineering documents as necessary.

• Assist in project management activities, including schedule development, cost estimations, and client communications.

• Offer technical guidance and maintain quality control on deliverables.

• Keep abreast of California regulations, codes, and industry best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering, or the ability to obtain it by the start date.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an ABET-accredited program.

• A minimum of 3–5+ years of pertinent civil engineering experience.

• Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, HEC-RAS, or similar tools.

• Strong knowledge of California design standards and permitting processes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting with strong self-management and collaboration abilities.

• Experience in public infrastructure, land development, water/wastewater, or transportation projects in California.

• Possession of LEED, Envision, or other sustainability certifications.

• Previous remote or hybrid work experience.
