This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide construction oversight for National Airspace System Integration Support Contract projects in support of the Federal Aviation Administration Eastern Service Area.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Contracting Officer Representatives, Contracting Officers, construction contractors, stakeholders, and engineering/design teams.
• Act as the main field point of contact and address field-related issues.
• Ensure that contractors adhere to FAA Environmental, Safety, and Health policies, relevant regulations, and contract requirements.
• Track construction progress against approved schedules and communicate the status, risks, and deviations.
• Evaluate contractor reports, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and work plans.
• Assist with construction inspections, commissioning, project closeout, and punch-list resolution.
• Maintain daily reports and as-built documentation.
• Support project management initiatives concerning safety plans, sequencing, risk, and quality.
• Aid in design modifications, constructability reviews, and adjustments driven by field conditions.
• Share technical expertise with team members.
• Travel 100%, including weekends, with assignments typically spanning several weeks to months.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 4 years of relevant experience in the construction of commercial, industrial, or government facilities.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, plans and specifications, building materials, applicable codes, and quality standards.
• Capability to coordinate effectively with contractors, engineers, and government stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Docs.
• Experience with Bluebeam or similar construction document review tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• Capability to navigate uneven terrain and varying environmental conditions in active construction sites.
• Ability to access elevated work areas using ladders and ascend up to 12 flights of stairs.
• Capacity to work in mechanical and equipment rooms with elevated noise levels and active construction environments.
• Ability to lift and transport materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Preferred: Reside in the eastern part of the U.S. near a major airport.
• Preferred: Professional Engineering license or progress toward licensure.
• Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Preferred: Experience with FAA or other government projects.
• Preferred: Experience in construction supervision or field oversight.
