Chinese Mandarin Linguist – Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver training in global languages, cryptologic languages, and cultural understanding to military personnel and civilian staff using classroom instruction, written resources, technology-based education, and distributed learning services.

• Design and integrate training materials, curriculum, and courseware for global and cryptologic training, ensuring they meet US Government approval standards.

• Modify instructional techniques to accommodate students' language proficiency objectives, diverse learning styles, and time limitations.

• Counsel the Language Manager and military representatives on evaluating students, determining placements, and identifying training necessities.

• Monitor student progress and provide reports on training effectiveness to the Language Manager and military authorities.

• Offer translation services, focusing on global and cryptologic language training for military staff.

• Collaborate with the unit Language Program Manager to devise and incorporate language training materials, technologies, and methodologies into existing training programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active TS/SCI security clearance.

• Current polygraph or eligibility to secure one, along with fulfillment of all customer access criteria.

• ILR level 3 or above in Chinese Mandarin.

• Advanced proficiency in English (ILR level 2+, as determined by DLPT 4).

• Bachelor's degree in Chinese Mandarin language, Applied Linguistics, or language teaching is preferred; additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree or in combination with an Associate's degree.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in military or intelligence roles.

• 1 to 3 years of experience related to language services.

• At least 1 year of experience in producing translation and language-related services.

• At least 1 year of experience in delivering language instruction.

• Strong command of Chinese Mandarin, encompassing speaking, grammar, phonology, and linguistic functions.

• Understanding of the phases of the intelligence cycle, including collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination, as well as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance activities.
