Chinese Language Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Engage in discussions with advanced language models focused on scenarios involving the Chinese language.

• Assess the models on various aspects of Chinese, including grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, pragmatics, tonal nuances, character systems, dialects, idioms, sentence construction, and cultural context.

• Ensure the accuracy of facts and the soundness of logic.

• Document reproducible error traces and outline instances of model failures.

• Propose enhancements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Assist in generating high-quality training data for the upcoming generation of AI models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in the Chinese language, covering grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics.

• In-depth knowledge of tonal variations, the distinction between Simplified and Traditional characters, regional dialects, Chinese idioms, sentence structure, and cultural context.

• A master’s degree or PhD in Chinese language, linguistics, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Evidence of suitability may include peer-reviewed publications, translation experience, or involvement in linguistic analysis projects.

• Strong metacognitive communication skills and the ability to articulate your reasoning.

• Capability to work as a contractor with access to a secure computer and high-speed internet.
