This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Establish and oversee AmeriSave's technology center in India.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain talent in engineering, infrastructure, AI, data, security, and technology leadership across India.
• Develop the organizational structure, leadership pipelines, career trajectories, and employee development programs.
• Cultivate a high-performance engineering culture focused on accountability, innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with technology leaders, product leaders, architects, and business stakeholders based in the U.S.
• Lead distributed engineering teams that deliver solutions across various time zones.
• Promote collaboration between technology teams in India and the U.S.
• Establish engineering best practices, delivery standards, and development processes.
• Guide teams in designing, building, and maintaining proprietary technology platforms.
• Advance engineering excellence, architecture governance, code quality, scalability, and software delivery.
• Oversee customer-facing and internal business applications that support the mortgage lifecycle.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to support AmeriSave's Azure-based environment.
• Drive initiatives focused on performance, scalability, cost optimization, monitoring, and operational reliability.
• Ensure that applications are highly available and resilient.
• Lead AI-driven innovation projects across software engineering and business operations.
• Identify opportunities for automation, machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent workflow optimization.
• Work with U.S. leadership on the AI roadmap and execution strategy.
• Collaborate with information security, compliance, and risk management teams.
• Ensure that engineering practices are aligned with security standards, financial services regulations, and data privacy requirements.
• Foster a security-first culture among technology teams.
• Advise executive leadership on technology strategies.
• Engage in long-term technology planning and workforce strategies.
• Report on engineering performance, technology investments, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• Manage staffing plans and operating budgets for the technology team in India.
• Promote efficient resource allocation across engineering initiatives.
• Develop long-term workforce strategies that support organizational growth.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in technology leadership.
• More than 5 years in an executive technology leadership role such as CTO, VP of Engineering, Head of Technology, or Engineering Director.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale software engineering organizations.
• Demonstrated success in establishing, scaling, and leading engineering organizations in India for U.S.-based companies.
• Extensive experience in recruiting and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of the technology talent market and hiring landscape in India.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams across India and North America.
• Proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships across different geographic regions.
• Capable of managing communication and execution across various time zones.
• Strong background in modern software engineering practices and architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of enterprise platforms, databases, APIs, and scalable application design.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
• Experience leading AI, automation, machine learning, or generative AI initiatives.
• Ability to convert emerging technologies into measurable business value.
• Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence leaders at all organizational levels.
• In-depth expertise in Java, TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, and React.
• Background in software engineering and technical leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in India at the time of application and throughout employment.
