Chief Technology and Product Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Lead a 25-member team that encompasses both product and engineering functions.

• Directly report to the CEO and engage in leadership discussions.

• Take ownership of the comprehensive product and technology strategy for scraping infrastructure, proxy networks, and structured data API offerings.

• Enhance relationships with proxy vendors and expand infrastructure capacity.

• Acquire an in-depth understanding of both product and backend systems to serve as a technical advisor to the CEO.

• Seamlessly integrate ScraperAPI and Traject Data infrastructure into a cohesive technical roadmap.

• Lead, scale, and cultivate the product and engineering organization.

• Establish the technical architecture guidelines for high-scale, high-reliability infrastructure, which includes proxy management, anti-bot evasion, and large-scale scraping systems.

• Propel AI and contemporary ML tools into the product and engineering workflows.

• Formulate and implement a consolidated product roadmap for both ScraperAPI and Traject Data.

• Represent the product and technology sectors to the board.

• Align product initiatives and business strategies with the CEO and commercial leadership.

• Diagnose, resolve, or question technical decisions related to code and infrastructure as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading product and/or engineering within a highly technical organization, in roles such as CTO, CPO, VP Engineering, or equivalent.

• Experience managing a team of 25 or more individuals.

• Hands-on expertise in web scraping, proxies, or related infrastructure.

• Familiarity with the operational aspects of web scraping infrastructure.

• Demonstrated history with AI/ML, including AI-driven product features and AI-centric engineering methodologies.

• Experience in simultaneously owning product vision and technical architecture.

• Board-level experience with strong communication skills for engaging with senior leadership.

• Bonus: Experience in integrating product lines following a merger or acquisition.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across various countries and time zones.
