This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +7 more countries.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor and recurring executive sponsor for C-level and senior technical stakeholders at strategic accounts.
• Lead multidisciplinary technical initiatives, which include executive briefings, architecture evaluations, whiteboard sessions, customer advisory feedback loops, and discussions with partners or analysts.
• Represent Black Duck as a technical evangelist through keynotes, webinars, whitepapers, thought leadership content, and external interactions with press, analysts, and partners.
• Convert AI/ML, detection engine, and platform architecture capabilities into credible narratives for both technical and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with Sales and Presales leadership on strategic opportunities, technical deep-dives, architecture evaluations, executive briefings, product launches, roadmap modifications, and competitive positioning.
• Assist with RFPs and security questionnaires by providing authoritative technical insights.
• Engage with strategic accounts to strengthen technical trust, uncover expansion opportunities, mitigate renewal risks, and guide application security maturity.
• Address strategic or industry-related problems to eliminate technical barriers and enhance business outcomes.
• Offer guidance on AI-assisted software development, agentic workflows, application security trends, and competitive market dynamics.
• Gather and escalate regional customer, partner, and market feedback to Product, Engineering, and Sales teams.
• Influence the roadmap, packaging, launch readiness, and go-to-market strategy.
• Mentor and review technical storytelling by sales engineers and account executives.
• Over 15 years in a senior technical leadership position, encompassing several years in a customer-facing or field/pre-sales role.
• Proven experience in engaging and persuading C-level and senior technical audiences within enterprise organizations.
• Demonstrated success throughout complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Domain expertise in application security (SAST, SCA, DAST), enterprise architecture, cloud/SaaS platforms, APIs and integrations, and security best practices.
• Comprehensive practical understanding of AI/ML concepts as applied to security, including anomaly detection, large language models, behavioral analytics, AI-assisted software development, and agentic workflows.
• Awareness of AI/ML limitations and the necessary controls for responsible adoption.
• Experience in negotiating with and influencing executive leadership, customers, partners, analysts, or vendors.
• Capability to define objectives and methodologies for complex, critical tasks.
• Experience in shaping standards, methods, practices, or market-facing technical narratives.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both executive and highly technical audiences.
• Established industry presence through conference speaking, published thought leadership, involvement in industry/analyst communities, customer advisory leadership, or similar external technical influence.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness and capacity to travel up to 50%.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to customer sites and industry events.
