📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive success of solid rocket propulsion system programs from start to finish.

• Lead large, multidisciplinary teams effectively.

• Supervise intricate systems engineering processes.

• Ensure technical execution aligns with budgetary and scheduling objectives.

• Manage the entire technical lifecycle of the program through design reviews and qualification milestones.

• Guarantee that final systems are manufacturable, meet technical data requirements, and are optimized for cost and schedule constraints.

• Guide engineering teams in achieving program milestones while maintaining concentration on the critical path.

• Resolve resource conflicts and enhance schedule performance through effective task management and alternative execution strategies.

• Establish and uphold lean technical scope baselines.

• Track cost performance indices and critically evaluate budget change requests.

• Act as the primary technical representative for the program.

• Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Present program-related information, develop new business opportunities, and ensure customer requests remain within authorized parameters.

• Offer data-driven technical alternatives to support collaborative decision-making.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related engineering field.

• 15 years of engineering experience.

• Over 5 years of technical leadership experience specifically in solid rocket motors (SRMs).

• Capability to manage the complete technical lifecycle of programs.

• Proficiency in leading cross-functional teams through thorough design reviews and qualification milestones.

• Competence in ensuring systems are manufacturable and adhere to technical data requirements.

• Ability to balance technical execution with cost and schedule constraints.

• Focus on maintaining critical-path awareness and resolving resource conflicts.

• Proven track record of establishing and sustaining lean technical scope baselines.

• Experience in monitoring cost performance indices (CPI) and handling budget change requests.

• Experience acting as the primary technical spokesperson and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the required level.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Preferred: at least four years of experience leading controllable solid rocket propulsion system projects with multidisciplinary teams of at least 10 members.

• Preferred: current DoD Secret Security clearance.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%, which may include overnight stays near company locations or external testing facilities.

• Capability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
