
Chaplain – Bilingual Spanish Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a messenger and representative of faith, mission, and purpose.
• Engage with organizations, staff, and the community while embodying Christian ministry values.
• Conduct regular visits to company worksites, typically on a weekly basis, to foster relationships with employees.
• Visit employees and their immediate family members in various locations such as hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, residences, and other places where care can be provided.
• Offer confidential pastoral conversations on personal matters including family issues, divorce, serious health conditions, aging parents, death and grief, parenting, financial pressures, and other personal challenges.
• Provide referrals and coordinate specialized support for employees and their family members.
• Assist with or attend funerals and offer subsequent grief support.
• Make jail visits as necessary.
• Deliver notifications regarding deaths and serious injuries, offering support to affected families and employees.
• Provide post-termination support to employees who have been laid off or terminated.
• Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities when appropriate.
• Distribute literature and resources pertaining to life issues.
• Represent client companies in ministry-related contexts such as illnesses, accidents, traumatic events, and funerals.
• Participate in new employee orientation and explain the roles of the Employee Care Service and Chaplain Team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by company executive leadership within the Letter of Agreement and with EDO consent.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team and within an interfaith environment.
• Openness to diverse lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.
• Strong listening and interaction skills with clients, employees, and their families.
• Capability to deliver community presentations.
• Proficiency in handling family members and staff in high-pressure situations.

• Spiritual maturity and a commitment to a Christian lifestyle and MCHAP Ministry values.
• Basic understanding of the Holy Bible and its appropriate application.
• Saving faith in Jesus Christ and active engagement in a biblically based church.
• Professional, diplomatic, patient, and courteous interactions with diverse groups.
• Capacity to establish and sustain effective collaborative working relationships while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions on sensitive, confidential matters.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Emotional resilience when dealing with human suffering, emergencies, and other stressors.
• Skills in analyzing information, following up on issues or objectives, identifying solutions, and resolving problems.
• Ability to interpret position-related policies and procedures and keep others informed.
• Proficiency with computer programs such as Google Suites, Microsoft Office, internet, email messaging, and web-based software applications.
• Willingness to learn new technological programs.
• Valid state driver's license and state-minimum auto insurance in the states where clients are served.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.
