This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Foster technical advocacy for HPE storage solutions within the partner network.
• Act as a trusted technical consultant to leading channel partners.
• Assist partner teams in positioning, designing, and delivering HPE storage and data protection solutions.
• Cultivate relationships with partner technical and sales teams.
• Empower partner engineers through training sessions, workshops, whiteboarding, and hands-on labs.
• Identify and nurture technical champions within partner organizations.
• Support partners in achieving HPE certifications and meeting partner program requirements.
• Represent HPE at partner events, technical days, and customer-facing briefings.
• Comprehend the technical needs of partners and end-customers, as well as their existing IT infrastructure.
• Convert requirements into architected solutions, alternatives, and gap assessments.
• Present and demonstrate how HPE capabilities align with business outcomes.
• Assist in solution configurations and proofs of concept.
• Develop competitive strategies in collaboration with partners.
• Collaborate with HPE account teams, channel managers, and partners to generate, qualify, and advance storage opportunities.
• Promote technology adoption, upgrades, and refreshes within the installed base.
• Maintain precise partner pipeline information.
• Ensure a seamless transition from sale to implementation while identifying training needs.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of technical presales experience with a major storage vendor or a storage-focused channel partner.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in pitching, demonstrating, and architecting complex storage solutions.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware or KVM-based environments.
• Familiarity with at least two application stacks, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or SAP.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency across block, file, backup, ransomware protection, and related data lifecycle solutions.
• In-depth competitive knowledge of at least one major storage vendor.
• Strong understanding of channel partner business models and their offerings.
• Proven ability to engage, collaborate with, and technically enable partners throughout the sales process.
• Excellent consultative selling, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong grasp of storage industry trends, competitor products, and strategies.
• Solid business and financial acumen.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.
• Comfort in using social media and other channels to disseminate technical content.
• Storage-related industry certifications are highly preferred.
• Expertise in a major vertical such as financial services, manufacturing, or healthcare is preferred.
• Must reside in the greater North Carolina/Tennessee region.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to partner and customer locations.
