Presales Consultant – Audio Visual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Deliver engineering assistance to the sales team in a comprehensive, detailed, and time-sensitive manner.

• Engage with clients and job sites to record customer needs and site conditions.

• Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and internal staff throughout the design development and delivery process.

• Create and document customer designs based on client specifications and job site conditions.

• Persuade both internal and external clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

• Identify customer pain points and provide recommendations.

• Collaborate closely with the designated team to troubleshoot issues.

• Communicate solutions to complex inquiries and address technical questions.

• Prepare Bills of Materials and Statements of Work.

• Create system design sketches, audiovisual diagrams, specifications, and operational capability narratives.

• Generate accurate job cost estimates.

• Provide technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.

• Coordinate and oversee multiple system design projects.

• Interpret technical specifications, schematic drawings, and architectural plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a pre-sales engineering role.

• Technical certifications relevant to the Audio Visual industry.

• InfoComm CTS certification.

• Advanced CTS-D certification is preferred.

• AV industry manufacturer certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with collaboration technologies such as Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.

• Proven or potential proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar diagramming software.

• Expertise in commissioning and supporting video network infrastructure.

• Understanding of video and audio conferencing service standards.

• High levels of professionalism and integrity.

• Strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
