This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Enhance technical advocacy for HPE storage solutions throughout the partner ecosystem.
• Act as a trusted technical consultant for key channel partners.
• Assist partner teams in positioning, designing, and delivering HPE storage and data protection solutions.
• Foster partner technical expertise through enablement sessions, workshops, whiteboarding, and practical labs.
• Identify and nurture technical champions within partner organizations.
• Aid partners in achieving HPE certifications and meeting partner program requirements.
• Represent HPE at partner events, technical days, and customer-facing briefings.
• Evaluate the technical needs of partners and end-customers, including their existing IT infrastructure.
• Design solutions, encompassing technical alternatives and identifying potential gaps.
• Present and demonstrate how HPE capabilities can drive business outcomes.
• Support solution configurations and conduct proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with partners to develop competitive strategies.
• Create, qualify, and advance storage opportunities alongside HPE account teams and channel managers.
• Promote technology adoption, upgrades, and refreshes within the existing installed base.
• Maintain precise partner pipeline information.
• Ensure a seamless transition from sale to implementation and identify training requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of technical presales experience with a leading storage vendor or storage-centric channel partner.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge in pitching, demonstrating, and architecting complex storage solutions.
• Proficient in virtualization technologies, including VMware or KVM-based environments.
• Experience with at least two application stacks, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or SAP.
• Practical working knowledge of at least one major public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Expertise in block, file, backup, ransomware protection, and related data-lifecycle solutions.
• In-depth competitive knowledge of at least one prominent storage vendor.
• Strong understanding of channel partner business models and offerings.
• Consultative selling skills, including active listening, framing, whiteboarding, and storytelling.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Awareness of storage industry trends, competitor products, and strategic insights.
• Business and financial acumen.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools.
• Must reside within the greater North Carolina/Tennessee region.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to partner and customer locations.
