Certification Manager, PPE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee PPE CE certification schemes.

• Conduct ongoing surveillance visits and perform on-site testing as necessary.

• Participate in technical meetings and committees as required.

• Contribute to the department's revenue and meet regulatory obligations.

• Analyze and comprehend product specifications and directives, discussing them at a technical level.

• Engage in, maintain, and enhance BSI activities for UKAS accreditation.

• Collaborate closely with the testing team and clients to manage and develop a portfolio of Certification Schemes within the Personal Protection Equipment sector.

• Provide high-quality, “right first time” product evaluations.

• Meet client satisfaction and achieve commercial objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of product certification processes.

• Familiarity with the PPE Regulation or European Directives in general.

• Background in mechanical engineering and/or plastic technologies.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft applications and BSI-specific software.

• Ability to grasp systems and processes effectively.

• Ideally a Lead Auditor, though this is not essential.

• Competent in discussing technical matters with customers.

• Skilled in designing complex test programs for multiple product projects.

• Capable of reading and interpreting product specifications and directives.

• Proficient in understanding product specifications.
