Certificate Specialist – Construction Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and assess certificate requests to ensure compliance with client contracts, insurance criteria, and risk management standards.

• Use discretion to determine suitable coverage representation and escalate complex issues to senior team members when necessary.

• Act as a resource for clients and internal teams by clarifying certificate requirements and addressing inquiries.

• Keep accurate records in agency management systems while ensuring compliance with internal controls and protocols.

• Work collaboratively with account managers and brokers to meet the operational needs and project timelines of construction clients.

• Participate in process enhancements and suggest improvements to certificate workflows to boost efficiency and accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to interpret insurance requirements and exercise judgment in the issuance of certificates.

• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills for effective interactions with clients and internal teams.

• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn agency management systems.

• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, or a related field is preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in insurance, risk management, or construction-related positions is preferred; internships or relevant coursework are acceptable.

• A Property & Casualty license may be required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
