This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement the growth strategy for sneakers on the platform.
• Take ownership of category-level performance in terms of supply, engagement, and revenue.
• Set quarterly objectives, leading indicators, and operational processes.
• Stay updated on sneaker culture, including insights into sellers, creators, collectors, resellers, sub-segments, product releases, brand dynamics, cultural events, pricing, liquidity, and resale economics.
• Act as the internal representative of the sneaker community, guiding product, marketing, and platform strategies.
• Create and manage a pipeline of influential sneaker sellers, shops, influencers, and creators.
• Recruit and onboard top-tier sellers.
• Formulate seller strategies that balance credibility, storytelling, and commerce.
• Organize sneaker-specific events, campaigns, and formats to boost engagement and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with Category Marketing on culturally relevant activations.
• Test new strategies and refine them based on performance and feedback.
• Work alongside Account & Partnerships Managers to enhance seller acquisition and support.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to develop seller and buyer features and tools.
• Provide market insights to shape roadmap prioritization.
• Document insights, frameworks, and best practices for future categories.
• Assist in defining category ownership standards at StockX.
• Aid in recruitment and onboarding as the sneaker category team expands.
• Deeply immersed in sneaker culture, with an understanding of key individuals, platforms, trends, and economics.
• Over 5 years of experience in category management, partnerships, marketplace growth, brand, or operator roles related to sneakers, streetwear, or similar ecosystems.
• Proficient in owning outcomes, executing, iterating, and adapting strategies.
• Strong ability to build relationships and credibility among sellers, creators, and community members.
• Data-savvy and commercially oriented, with knowledge of pricing, margins, liquidity, and incentives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful, and motivated by building initiatives from the ground up.
• Existing connections with sneaker resellers, store owners, creators, or influencers (preferred).
• Experience in buying and selling sneakers or engaging with resale marketplaces (preferred).
• Familiarity with content-driven commerce, creator platforms, or enthusiast communities (preferred).
• Background in working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams (preferred).
