This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee national and/or regional Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) categories and their respective sub-categories.
• Identify and engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements related to categories and commodities.
• Improve data quality and ensure supplier qualification and compliance.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive category strategies.
• Conduct or assist in contract negotiations and supplier selection processes.
• Achieve category productivity through pricing, rebates, value analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the Supplier Relationship Management strategy and facilitate quarterly reviews for key suppliers.
• Offer subject matter expertise derived from direct experience and collaboration with vendors.
• Execute Category Management and SRM strategies for designated spending groups.
• Assist site purchasing activities by leveraging sourcing agreements and commodity insights.
• Oversee bid and award processes, including supplier identification and negotiation.
• Determine economic order quantities and assess market trends and economic conditions.
• Communicate agreements effectively with both internal and external clients.
• Establish and maintain a capable, value-oriented supply base.
• Manage costs of sourced materials through negotiations, agreements, market testing, bulk purchasing, forecasting, compliance management, and data analysis.
• Provide industry insights for assigned categories and commodity groupings.
• Collaborate closely with Sourcing Managers, Site Managers, Buyers, and other management personnel.
• Travel to various supplier sites as needed.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a related field, including operations, supply chain, or sourcing of MRO-related materials.
• Familiarity with quality assurance philosophies, practices, and techniques.
• A four-year college degree is preferred; a technical B.S. degree is highly desirable.
• Certification in Purchasing Management (CPM) is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and planning abilities.
• Self-driven with the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent data analysis capabilities.
• Proficient in understanding vendor contracts.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Must reside in a U.S. state where Turtle operates its Integrated Supply business.
