Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of category strategies for materials, equipment, rentals, tooling, and services in Field Services.

• Customize sourcing roadmaps to address demand for smaller quantities and faster turnaround times.

• Direct competitive sourcing events, evaluations, negotiations, contracting activities, and the execution of purchase orders.

• Provide agile purchasing support for urgent project and site needs.

• Create and uphold a responsive supplier network.

• Foster supplier relationships that cater to low-volume demands, quick responses, and issue resolution.

• Achieve savings and avoid costs through negotiation, consolidation, value engineering, and demand optimization.

• Maximize total value by considering cost, availability, quality, schedule, service, safety, and risk.

• Collaborate with project, technical, logistics, finance, and site teams to grasp requirements and priorities.

• Secure materials, expedite critical orders, and eliminate supply chain obstacles.

• Assist in the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, rentals, repairs, and lifecycle management of equipment and tooling.

• Evaluate pricing, supplier capacity, lead times, logistics constraints, and category trends.

• Predict supply chain risks and execute mitigation strategies.

• Establish commercial terms, scopes, service levels, warranties, and supplier responsibilities.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, approvals, contracts, safety regulations, and applicable laws.

• Report on expenditures, savings, supplier performance, responsiveness, and financial results.

• Enhance procurement processes, systems, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.

• Act as the strategic partner for supply chain and category management in Field Services and enterprise sourcing initiatives.

• Align stakeholders with business priorities and develop practical sourcing solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, asset management, or commodity management.

• Proficient in utilizing procurement, supply chain, asset, or commodity management systems.

• Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contracting, and relationship management.

• Skilled at building trusted relationships, identifying operational needs, and translating them into effective sourcing solutions.

• Experience in analyzing and enhancing sourcing processes, category performance, procedures, or scopes of work.

• Capable of managing multiple priorities and responding swiftly in a dynamic, high-visibility environment.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• A post-secondary degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, construction management, or a related field is an advantage.
