Catalog Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Direct the stewardship, enhancement, and ongoing advancement of the SpecSource medical equipment product catalog.

• Ensure catalog integrity, quality, accuracy, usability, scalability, standards, classifications, taxonomies, governance, and data quality.

• Supervise product specifications, associated content, category-level defaults, product relationships, classifications, and content governance.

• Lead and nurture the Product Catalog team; set priorities, objectives, and performance expectations; offer coaching and mentorship.

• Cultivate relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and strategic partners.

• Manage vendor onboarding, training, support, content acquisition, engagement, presentations, and educational initiatives.

• Identify obstacles to manufacturer participation and formulate vendor engagement and program growth strategies.

• Analyze vendor engagement patterns, participation rates, and program effectiveness.

• Enhance efficiency and scalability through automation, AI-assisted workflows, modern business tools, and emerging technologies.

• Research, assess, and implement practical technology-enabled solutions.

• Collaborate with Client Services, Sales, Product, and Development teams to enhance platform usability and client experience.

• Convert client, vendor, and stakeholder feedback into actionable insights.

• Maintain quality assurance and quality control processes; investigate and rectify catalog discrepancies and data quality issues.

• Contribute to training programs and uphold documentation for catalog processes, standards, workflows, and best practices.

• Research, assess, and classify specialized medical equipment and related technologies.

• Utilize reporting, analytics, and data-management tools to evaluate catalog performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.

• Contribute to SpecSource and SpecAdvisor growth initiatives, professional development, industry organizations, mentoring, and industry research.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading teams, projects, programs, or operational functions.

• Experience in managing product catalogs, product data, content repositories, databases, vendor programs, or similar operational functions.

• Track record of developing and sustaining relationships with vendors, manufacturers, clients, or external business partners.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to recognize operational inefficiencies and apply practical improvements.

• Active engagement with AI tools to enhance productivity, automate tasks, solve business challenges, or support decision-making.

• Proven capability to learn new technologies, software platforms, and business processes independently.

• Experience in researching, organizing, and managing intricate technical information.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to prioritize competing responsibilities and drive initiatives to completion.

• Experience with structured data, business systems, and database-driven applications.

• Proven experience managing product catalogs, product information, content repositories, or complex data sets.

• Active utilization of AI tools for research, analysis, process enhancement, automation, and operational efficiency.

• Familiarity with reporting, workflow management, automation, project management, and business productivity platforms.

• Ability to independently learn, administer, troubleshoot, and optimize software platforms.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in spreadsheets and data analysis, including reporting, lookup functions, pivot tables, and data manipulation.

• Knowledge of Jira or similar issue tracking and project management systems is highly preferred.

• Preferred: experience in healthcare, equipment planning, vendor partnerships, SaaS platforms, automation tools, low-code/no-code platforms, workflow optimization technologies, or business systems integrations.
