This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the operations of the Cluster, ensuring the implementation of best practices for cash collections and reconciliation for Home Health & Hospice agencies.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders to formulate, track, and uphold best practices within the Cluster.
• Work closely with billers, Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders, and Service Center AR personnel to enhance the AR function across the organization.
• Establish accountability for collection efforts and procedures involving Executive Directors and Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders.
• Provide support for cash posters during short-term or unforeseen absences.
• Collaborate with Executive Directors and/or Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders to train Cash Posters.
• Build and sustain collaborative relationships with Portfolio Billers and Collectors.
• Keep a thorough understanding of payor contracts and ensure compliance with contract provisions during collections.
• Stay informed about government billing regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid, serving as a resource for agency staff.
• Collaborate on payor projects with Executive Directors, AR Market Leaders, Billers, and Billing Managers.
• Attend Agency BAM meetings to identify and report on collections received.
• Review, research, and post various types of funds on a daily basis.
• Prepare cash reports and conduct daily reconciliations.
• Resolve discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams.
• Research and clear unidentified cash accounts on a monthly basis.
• Manage automated payment files and address exceptions.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in cash posting.
• At least three years’ experience in healthcare billing and collections management, preferably in home health and/or hospice environments.
• Proficiency in HCHB and Excel is mandatory.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
• Capability to accurately manage detailed information.
• Ability to work tactfully and collaboratively with colleagues, peers, service center personnel, referral sources, and payers.
