Case Manager Associate, Bilingual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and update cases related to hospitalized patients and outpatient services

• Ensure prompt and accurate documentation within company systems

• Collaborate with Medical Consultants and Registered Nurses to evaluate medical information and assist in decision-making

• Authorize eligible medical procedures and coordinate with internal medical teams

• Communicate with patients and/or their families about policy benefits, case updates, and logistical arrangements

• Review insurance policies and determine the appropriate actions for each case

• Establish and modify case reserves based on current and projected costs

• Investigate supplementary insurance options, including Provincial Health and Extended Health Plans

• Manage billing arrangements and acquire current billing information

• Collect and manage necessary case documentation

• Provide administrative and logistical support to facilitate case progression

• Liaise with business partners and escalate complex cases as needed

• Contact and coordinate with providers for authorizations, documentation, and clarifications

⛳️ Requirements

• Required post-secondary education

• Preferred minimum of 2 years’ experience in Emergency Assistance or a similar case management role

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Strong multitasking abilities in a high-pressure environment

• Excellent verbal communication skills—professional, clear, and empathetic over the phone

• Proven problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative

• High level of accountability and ownership for case outcomes

• Solid understanding of global geography

• Awareness of current events

• Familiarity with medical terminology

• Required fluency in both written and spoken French and English

• Ability to work effectively with artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools
