
Care Specialist, Part Time – Weekend Day Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver compassionate live chat support to address both practical and emotional needs of users.
• Offer inbound phone assistance, help with scheduling, explain Empathy’s services, and respond to logistical inquiries.
• Aid in the creation of detailed Care Plans.
• Process requests related to account closures, funeral pricing and planning, vendor or professional sourcing, and other support requirements.
• Research to discover resources, vendors, and service providers that cater to users' needs.
• Maintain the knowledge base for the Care Team and role-specific resources.
• Serve as a product specialist, linking users to Empathy tools and resources.
• Identify areas for professional growth and knowledge deficiencies.
• Convey user feedback to assist in product development.
• Organize documentation and manage time effectively to meet SLA standards.
• Collaborate across various functions and adapt to operational tasks.
• Complete training and provide constructive feedback to enhance information sharing.
• Appropriately escalate issues and manage sensitive user information with care.
• Participate in short-term projects as assigned by management.
• Kind-hearted, empathetic, and patient team members.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Background in a customer-facing role, counseling, support, concierge services, or similar areas, including internships.
• Capability to swiftly adapt to and navigate new technologies, tools, and platforms.
• Comfort in working within established procedures and simplifying complex steps into clear instructions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for learning and conducting research in new fields.
• Proven problem-solving skills, particularly under tight deadlines and competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and consistently during overnight hours, with effective time management and concentration throughout the shift.
• Skilled in organizing multiple tasks and projects while maintaining workflow control.
• Capacity to assess situations and make independent professional decisions without close supervision.
• Experience or training in warm line support, education, public health, grief counseling, disability services, resource navigation, or similar fields.
• Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, Zendesk, or comparable platforms.
