Capture Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement strategies and campaign plans to capture workshare, investment, and partnerships for GCAP and Advanced Programmes.

• Oversee opportunities from the qualification stage to contract award, tracking performance and updating senior stakeholders on progress.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to influence funding, investment, and industrial strategies.

• Represent GKN Aerospace in customer meetings, industry events, and government forums.

• Guide cross-functional teams in crafting compelling business cases, bids, and proposals.

• Drive competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and solution development.

• Manage capture budgets, risks, governance, and compliance requirements effectively.

• Facilitate the transition of secured opportunities into programme execution.

• Establish governance for delivery and offer strategic oversight to guarantee successful outcomes.

• Engage in regular national and international travel to visit customers, partners, and GKN Aerospace sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in leading complex capture campaigns within the defence or aerospace industries.

• Proven experience in securing and executing large-scale technology development, manufacturing, or industrialisation projects.

• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing capabilities in multinational and governmental contexts.

• Capacity to lead high-performing cross-functional teams and align various stakeholders with strategic objectives.

• Comprehensive understanding of business development, commercial management, programme delivery, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.

• Experience in aerostructures, transparencies, advanced manufacturing, and defence aerospace technologies is highly preferred.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC).

• A degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or a related field is required.

• A qualification in business, commercial, or programme management is desirable.

• Professional certification in programme management (e.g., IPMA, APM, PMI) is advantageous.
