This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create C++ software for Skylum's acclaimed photo editing applications.
• Utilize contemporary C++ methodologies, scalable software architecture, and code quality standards.
• Develop multithreaded and performance-enhanced solutions.
• Break down technical tasks and assess implementation efforts.
• Enhance CPU performance.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team.
• Engage in technical sales and explore new projects or products, when relevant.
• Take part in the recruitment process: interviewing with the Talent Acquisition Manager, conducting professional interviews, and participating in management interviews.
• Over 3 years of professional experience in C++ development.
• Strong understanding of modern C++ (C++17/C++20).
• Familiarity with RAII, move semantics, STL, and fundamental template programming.
• Experience in multithreading and performance enhancement.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to decompose technical tasks and evaluate implementation efforts.
• Proven experience in a collaborative team setting.
• Knowledge of scalable and maintainable software design principles.
• A responsible attitude towards product quality and code integrity.
• Skills in CPU optimization.
• Proficiency in English at the B2 level (C1 preferred).
• Experience with graphics APIs such as Vulkan and Metal.
• Basic knowledge of GPU acceleration and compute shaders.
• Familiarity with machine learning inference frameworks like ONNX Runtime, OpenVINO, CoreML, and DirectML.
• Experience with low-level CPU optimization techniques, including SSE/AVX/NEON intrinsics or Assembly language.
• Background in computer vision, image processing, or video processing.
• Proficient in CMake.
• Experience in developing cross-platform solutions.
• Skilled in optimizing applications for resource-constrained environments.
• Experience in technical sales and commercial exploration of new projects or products, or working with early-stage startups.
