This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee purchase orders from requisition through to receipt, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and aligned with production needs.

• Acquire raw materials, MRO supplies, and services at the best possible cost, quality, and lead time.

• Track open orders and proactively manage delivery timelines to avoid shortages or disruptions.

• Analyze MRP outputs in Oracle to plan and uphold ideal inventory levels for designated commodities.

• Set and modify safety stock levels in accordance with production requirements and business goals.

• Balance inventory investment with service level expectations to facilitate efficient operations.

• Identify and assess suppliers, solicit quotations, and negotiate pricing and delivery times.

• Foster and sustain strong supplier relationships to promote reliability and ongoing improvement.

• Engage in supplier performance evaluations and assist with corrective actions as necessary.

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to synchronize material availability with manufacturing schedules.

• Address material issues, including shortages, quality problems, and supplier discrepancies.

• Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives and process enhancements across the procurement function.

• Ensure data accuracy and transaction integrity within ERP and procurement systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

• 3–5 years of experience in a purchasing, buyer, or materials planning position within a manufacturing setting.

• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle is highly preferred).

• Strong grasp of material planning, inventory control, and procurement procedures.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, production-focused environment.

• Effective communication and negotiation skills with both internal teams and external suppliers.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard business software applications.

• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities.
