Business Systems Analyst – IT Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as a liaison among business stakeholders, IT, and technology vendors.

• Collaborate with process owners and end users to gain insights into business operations and pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Convert business requirements into precise, actionable functional and nonfunctional specifications.

• Relay requirements to potential vendors and manage vendor inquiries, product demonstrations, and stakeholder evaluation sessions.

• Oversee RFPs, RFIs, vendor questionnaires, requirements matrices, and solution evaluation tasks.

• Conduct interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions with stakeholders, process owners, and end users.

• Facilitate stakeholder review and approval of requirements.

• Generate process flows, use cases, user scenarios, business rules, acceptance criteria, storyboards, and other relevant solution documentation.

• Record current-state processes, data needs, systems of record, integrations, migration requirements, user roles, security necessities, reporting demands, KPIs, and operational prerequisites.

• Identify business issues, desired outcomes, scope, priorities, dependencies, constraints, and success metrics.

• Create business test scenarios, coordinate or assist with User Acceptance Testing, and confirm delivered functionality.

• Assess existing systems, internally developed solutions, Microsoft Power Platform, third-party applications, and other technologies.

• Compare potential solutions based on functionality, usability, integrations, security, reporting, implementation needs, cost, and business alignment.

• Recognize functionality gaps and opportunities to streamline processes, enhance data quality, eliminate redundant tasks, and automate manual operations.

• Keep track of requirements, decisions, assumptions, risks, and scope modifications throughout the solution lifecycle.

• Assist with implementation readiness, documentation, training, change management, and post-implementation process enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

• 3+ years of pertinent experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar position supporting technology implementations.

• Proficient in conducting stakeholder interviews, requirements discovery, and business process analysis.

• Skilled in documenting workflows, use cases, business rules, acceptance criteria, and process flows using Azure DevOps, Visio, or comparable tools.

• Experience in evaluating business applications or engaging in software/vendor selection processes.

• Background in enterprise SaaS applications, system implementations, or digital transformation projects.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power BI, Power Automate, or associated Microsoft technologies.

• Understanding of integrations, APIs, data modeling, role-based security, and workflow automation.

• Experience in supporting RFPs and technology selection processes.

• Acquainted with Agile methodologies, requirements traceability, UAT, and implementation workflows.

• Proficient with process modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar applications.

• Ability to work remotely; position is designated for US-CA-Los Angeles.
