This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define, model, validate, and document the requirements and specifications for integration systems.
• Identify project milestones, phases, and elements while ensuring projects adhere to timelines.
• Manage new integration initiatives by promoting standard interfaces.
• Drive the utilization of core Paylocity system functionalities to minimize customization needs.
• Develop workflow charts and diagrams to illustrate system capabilities.
• Maintain and document the capabilities and specifications of the Paylocity integration system.
• Conduct user acceptance testing.
• Update procedural documentation regarding calculations, extracts/imports, and integration configurations.
• Create both internal and external documentation for system integration users.
• Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional and technical integration specifications for vendors and clients.
• Enhance systems by assessing current practices and designing necessary modifications.
• Communicate integration options, functions, capabilities, rules, interfaces, reports, and calculations to clients and vendors.
• Troubleshoot integration testing issues utilizing knowledge of the Paylocity system, APIs, FTP, and SQL.
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine requirements and explore alternative integration solutions.
• Manage integration communications with Sales, Implementation, and Customer Service teams.
• Interface with customer Payroll, HR, and Time & Labor data using Paylocity systems, MS SQL, and other applications.
• Mentor and assist in training new hires and Level I employees.
• Contribute to driving process improvements.
• Manage partner escalations and change requests.
• Lead team meetings and maintain agendas and notes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of six years of experience in the Payroll and HR industry.
• At least three years of experience in a customer-facing role.
• Experience in writing business specifications is required.
• Experience in defining software requirements is preferred.
• Experience in a project-based work environment.
• Knowledge of APIs with experience in troubleshooting API integrations.
• Familiarity with the data interface functional domain.
• Intermediate understanding of FTP/SFTP.
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL.
• Intermediate knowledge of XSLT translation routines.
• Intermediate understanding of JSON data format.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAML SSO technology practices.
• Knowledge of EDI/XML file security is preferred.
• Experience with company-to-company file transfers is preferred.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours a day.
• Capability to operate computer and phone systems, type, and utilize multiple software programs simultaneously.
