Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Design, improve, and maintain business systems that support organizational goals and business results.

• Act as the main point of contact for system functionalities.

• Collaborate with both business and technology teams to enhance, support, and optimize financial systems.

• Collect and document both business and technical requirements.

• Evaluate processes and provide solutions that boost operational efficiency and align with strategic goals.

• Function as a liaison between stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.

• Ensure that technology solutions meet business requirements and adhere to enterprise standards.

• Lead initiatives related to finance.

• Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of solutions.

• Offer guidance to team members and promote continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 5–8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting intricate business and technology projects.

• Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and documenting both business and technical requirements.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and delivering solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.

• Strong skills in analysis, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management.

• Background in data management, data analysis, data integration, and database technologies.

• Preferred experience in supporting corporate financial systems and related business processes.

• Solid financial understanding, including financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics.

• Capability to identify opportunities for process improvement, influence stakeholders, mentor team members, and convert business needs into scalable technology solutions.

• Expertise in finance, business process analysis, data governance, and systems implementation.

• Preferred experience with Essbase, SmartView, Oracle Cloud Products (Hyperion), VBA, and SQL.

• Technical development capabilities in SQL, Essbase Calculation Scripts, Microsoft Access, and Visual Basic.
