This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect, document, and prioritize requirements for automation and process enhancement initiatives.
• Convert retirement industry business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Act as the main point of contact for developers to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
• Analyze current operational processes and design future workflows to pinpoint automation opportunities.
• Utilize knowledge of retirement plan recordkeeping, ERISA, and regulatory frameworks to identify inefficiencies, risks, and potential automation candidates.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, workflow diagrams, and requirements traceability matrices.
• Facilitate communication among technical teams, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Aid in prioritizing the automation backlog based on business impact, feasibility, regulatory risk, and return on investment (ROI).
• Oversee deployed automations after launch and identify opportunities for enhancement.
• Assist in change management efforts, including the creation of training materials and end-user communications.
• Plan and oversee special or high-impact projects.
• At least 10 years of experience in the retirement industry.
• Over 10 years of experience in 401(k) plan administration.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a business analyst, ideally supporting automation, RPA, or software development initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Extensive knowledge of retirement plan types (401(k), 403(b), defined benefit, etc.), ERISA requirements, and recordkeeping practices.
• Strong grasp of business process analysis and workflow mapping methodologies (e.g., BPMN).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating sound judgment regarding fiduciary and compliance matters.
• Knowledge of process mining or automation discovery tools is a plus.
• Must reside in the USA and be authorized to work for any US employer.
