Business Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive functional specifications for designated projects.

• Develop test plans and test cases, and carry out testing procedures.

• Investigate and assess moderately complex data to guarantee precise functional design.

• Guide less experienced personnel through application training, analytical research, and project methodology advice.

• Act as the functional lead on assigned application projects when necessary.

• Engage with business clients to discuss requested changes to applications and ensure a clear understanding of specifications.

• Take part in design discussions and draft, review, and modify functional specifications until client approval is obtained.

• Examine business requirements alongside the Technology team.

• Oversee and perform testing to confirm that changes and enhancements operate as anticipated.

• Collaborate with colleagues to assess the impact of application modifications on other systems.

• Participate in integrated testing as needed.

• Track specifications and change requests to maintain project scope and adhere to regulatory standards.

• Ensure compliance with business requirements and Corporate Technology protocols.

• Address issues arising from testing or implementation in an efficient and timely manner.

• Organize post-implementation follow-up, collect feedback from application owners, and resolve any ensuing issues.

• Comply with company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.

• Identify risk-related matters that require escalation to management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A combined total of at least 4 years of higher education and/or experience in operational/business analytics.

• Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software applications.

• Strong problem-solving abilities to aid in issue resolution.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Experience or subject matter expertise in business, along with knowledge and experience in using the supported application/system.

• Successful completion of a Technology Internship is preferred.

• Capability to manage multiple projects of basic to moderate complexity.

• Understanding of supported applications and their interfacing/integrated systems.

• Competence in using project management, word processing, and spreadsheet software.

• Familiarity with the Bank's application framework.

• Knowledge of application development software and hardware platforms.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Skills in organization, time management, lateral thinking, and problem-solving.

• Ability to present effectively to all management levels.

• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.

• Ability to coordinate between various applications and business units.

• Proficiency in multitasking across components of moderately complex projects.

• Ability to recognize project milestones and delivery timelines.

• Capacity to recommend and implement effective solutions.
