Business Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Perform evaluations, analyses, and reengineering of business processes to ensure alignment with the JTMS materiel solution.

• Engage in business process reengineering tasks that support mapping, use case development, end-to-end process modeling, and detailed decomposition of functional and system requirements.

• Work in collaboration with USTRANSCOM, JDDE, and other JTMS contractors to document processes, validate requirements, and secure stakeholder agreement.

• Identify and document discrepancies between existing processes and solution capabilities, providing recommendations for customer courses of action.

• Support the implementation of reengineered processes, including configuration, testing, and deployment.

• Investigate regulations to determine DOTmLPF-P impacts and formulate recommendations.

• Define measurable KPIs and other relevant metrics.

• Analyze business and systems processes to uncover SAP implementation and process automation opportunities, enhancements, efficiencies, and auditability.

• Offer guidance and recommendations during Fit-to-Standard workshops.

• Convert requirements into Agile SAFe user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.

• Identify necessary user roles and access for each business process and create role-specific testing scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation & Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Law, Computer Science, Engineering, Physical/Applied Sciences, or a management discipline such as Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Management Information Technology.

• 3-5 years of general experience in Business Process Reengineering, Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Problem Solving, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of functional experience within USTRANSCOM Operations and Joint/Defense Transportation Systems.

• Working knowledge of Joint/Defense Transportation Regulations and the DOTmLPF-P framework.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to collaborate as a team member in a diverse group, including contractors, government, and military personnel.

• Strong analytical, communication (both oral and written), and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• High attention to detail, especially regarding documentation and reporting.

• US Citizen with the ability to successfully complete a Tier 1 investigation.

• General understanding of SAP and ERP systems.

• Experience in SAFe Agile methodologies and possession of SAFe Agilist Certification.

• General familiarity with BPMN 2.0.

• Active Secret Clearance.
