Business Process Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess business requirements and map out business processes.

• Convert requirements into functional specifications to guide development.

• Develop and implement process automation solutions that connect Appian with PeopleSoft ERP.

• Facilitate user interactions with PeopleSoft data and workflows via Appian interfaces.

• Conduct sessions to gather requirements from business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

• Analyze and document business processes in accordance with BPMN standards.

• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation using Appian.

• Generate functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with Appian Architects and Developers on workflows, data models, and user interfaces.

• Assist in Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and clarification of requirements.

• Develop test cases and scenarios, and support system testing as well as user acceptance testing.

• Ensure that solutions align with business expectations and meet organizational standards.

• Synchronize business processes and integration points with PeopleSoft modules and Appian workflows.

• Facilitate workshops and working sessions to achieve clarity and consensus on requirements.

• Create process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and technical guides in governed document repositories.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Appian versions 24.x or newer.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Must possess at least a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

• Strong knowledge of business process modeling (BPMN) and methodologies for process improvement.

• Experience in Appian or other BPM/low-code platform projects is essential.

• Proficient in creating clear and detailed requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.

• Background in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively.

• Appian Certified Analyst is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Appian features such as process models, interfaces, records, and data types.

• Experience in data modeling and workflow design is beneficial.

• Appian Analyst, Designer, or Practitioner certification is a plus.

• Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog-management tools is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering secure, high-quality solutions.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
