Business Process Analyst, Appian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate sessions for gathering requirements with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

• Analyze and document business processes adhering to BPMN standards.

• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation utilizing Appian.

• Convert business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with Appian Architects and Developers for designing workflows, data models, and user interfaces.

• Support Agile delivery by refining backlogs, planning sprints, and clarifying requirements.

• Aid in the development of test cases and scenarios; assist in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Ensure that delivered solutions fulfill business expectations and adhere to organizational standards.

• Analyze and verify that business processes and integration points are aligned with PeopleSoft modules and Appian workflows.

• Conduct workshops and working sessions to promote clarity and consensus on functional and technical requirements.

• Produce process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and technical guides within governed document repositories.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience with Appian versions 24.x or higher.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Minimum Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

• Strong grasp of business process modeling (BPMN) and methodologies for process improvement.

• Experience with Appian or other BPM/low-code platform projects.

• Ability to develop clear and comprehensive requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Appian Certified Analyst is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Appian features such as process models, interfaces, records, and data types.

• Experience in data modeling and workflow design.

• Appian Analyst, Designer, or Practitioner certification is a plus.

• Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog management tools.

• Attention to detail with an emphasis on secure, high-quality solutions.

• Must reside in AL, CA, CT, FL, GA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, NC, OR, RI, SC, TX, VA, DC, WV, or NJ.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
