Business Process Analyst, Appian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate business requirements, map out business processes, and convert needs into functional specifications.

• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

• Analyze and document business processes adhering to BPMN standards.

• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and potential automation opportunities utilizing Appian.

• Convert business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with Appian Architects and Developers to create workflows, data models, and user interfaces.

• Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and clarification of requirements.

• Assist in the development of test cases and scenarios; support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Ensure that delivered solutions fulfill business expectations and meet organizational standards.

• Analyze and verify that business processes and integration points align with PeopleSoft modules and Appian workflows.

• Conduct workshops and working sessions to enhance clarity and consensus on functional and technical requirements.

• Generate process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and technical guides in document repositories with appropriate governance.

• Serve as a link between Atlas Technologies' Appian low-code platform and PeopleSoft ERP.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience with Appian versions 24.x or above.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• At least a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or the capability to obtain and maintain one.

• Profound understanding of business process modeling (BPMN) and methodologies for process improvement.

• Experience on Appian or other BPM/low-code platform projects.

• Capability to draft clear and detailed requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum settings.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.

• Appian Certified Analyst is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Appian features such as process models, interfaces, records, and data types.

• Experience in data modeling and workflow design.

• Appian Analyst, Designer, or Practitioner certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog management tools.

• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering secure, high-quality solutions.
