Business Process Analyst, Appian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate sessions for gathering requirements with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

• Analyze and document business processes adhering to BPMN standards.

• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation utilizing Appian.

• Convert business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with Appian Architects and Developers to craft workflows, data models, and user interfaces.

• Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and clarifying requirements.

• Assist in the development of test cases and scenarios; support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Ensure that delivered solutions align with business expectations and adhere to organizational standards.

• Analyze and confirm that business processes and integration points are compatible with PeopleSoft Modules and Appian workflows.

• Conduct workshops and working sessions to foster clarity and consensus regarding functional and technical requirements.

• Create process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and technical guides in document repositories with appropriate governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience with Appian versions 24.x or higher.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Must possess a minimum Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or the capability to obtain and maintain one.

• Strong understanding of business process modeling (BPMN) and methodologies for process improvement.

• Experience working on Appian or other BPM/low-code platform projects.

• Ability to produce clear and comprehensive requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is essential.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Appian Certified Analyst designation is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Appian features such as process models, interfaces, records, and data types.

• Experience in data modeling and workflow design is required.

• Appian Analyst, Designer, or Practitioner certification is a plus.

• Experience with tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar for managing backlogs.

• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering secure, high-quality solutions.
