
Business Operations Manager – Systems & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop activation and onboarding systems to transition new locations from signed contracts to operational status with minimal manual intervention.
• Create client reporting and billing-preparation workflows for review and approval, eliminating the need for manual assembly.
• Implement reporting mechanisms that offer leadership and clients real-time visibility into performance against plans.
• Manage cross-team data, encompassing commercial and contract terms, along with integrations that ensure data consistency.
• Spearhead system rollouts and provide training to users impacted by these changes.
• Oversee the intake and prioritization of requests from various departments across the organization.
• Document systems to enable others to build upon them effectively.
• Engage in discovery sessions with department heads and individual contributors.
• Redesign processes when necessary instead of simply automating existing workflows.
• Take ownership of deployed systems and address issues promptly when they arise.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in operations, revenue or sales operations, business systems, or implementation.
• Proven history of developing tools rather than solely executing processes.
• Experience delivering functional tools that had users and were managed through failures.
• Capability to author and maintain software, beyond just configuring tools.
• Proficient in writing and maintaining APIs.
• Regular experience working within a repository.
• Ability to query production databases using SQL.
• Skill in scripting against third-party APIs.
• Familiarity with Claude and similar AI tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of the customer lifecycle from deal closure through activation, live operations, revenue recognition, and billing.
• Effective collaboration with department heads and individual contributors.
• Discovery-first approach: observe processes and converse with operators prior to development.
• Nice to have: experience in parking, hospitality, travel, or other operationally complex, multi-channel businesses.
• Nice to have: experience integrating systems with diverse formats, cadences, and data definitions.
• Nice to have: experience being the first or only individual engaged in this type of work.
